1) Colors. Think about the colors of the location you have chosen for your session as you decide on what to wear. For instance you would not want to wear neon colors in the middle of a field at golden hour, but instead would want to opt for more neutral colors like creams, grays, blacks, navy blues, army greens. (I no offer a welcome style guide for all my sessions, please do not hesitate to reach out to see this guide).

2) Time. Please do not be late for your session. Your session is scheduled at the time the sun or clouds are expected to be where we can get that beautiful lighting. Your session starts at the scheduled time not when you arrive. Please respect my time as I respect yours. If you are past 30 minutes late to your session I will cancel services and not reschedule your session.

3) Shoes. this is very commonly over looked. Some shots will have your feet in them so if you show up in tennis shoes and a maxi dress then your likely going to see them in some shots. I try to find spots with little to no walk, but if you do choose a location with a bit of a incline/walk I will let you know so you do not have to hike it in sandals/heels.

4) Dont stress. I know this sounds easy for me to say, but I truly mean do not stress. I recommend that if you are worried about your kids wrecking their outfit before the session then wait to dress them when you get to the location. If you are stressed your kids are not standing posing and smiling, that is OKAY. I love the let kids just be themselves. I will take time to play and interact with them, show them my camera let them try to take a picture if they are hesitant about the lens in their face. I will do all I can to get them to smile, but I try to remind parents kids feed off our energy and sense our stress levels, so relax mama/dada things will go as they are meant to!

5) Hair cuts/colors. make sure if you are wanting to have your hair done before your session you do not do this the day of/day before. Its recommended that you schedule those appointments at least 7 days before your session to let the color/cut settle.

6) Have FUN! Dance with your partner, tickle them, kiss on them, play tag with them. Pretend I am not there besides just to guide you in ways that look well in front of the camera. The more fun you have the more you will look back and love your images.
